Ajello is an italian duo formed by Luca Roccatagliati (aka DJ Rocca for his break-ground) and Fabrizio Tavernelli.

They released several vinyls mostly for Mantra Vibes producing a powerful house with sci-fi effects and good breaks. Here 2 tracks I love:

I always wanted to get a decent copy of this one… I only had a dirty VHS rip featuring a short musical sequence of Grégory - Space Trip and nowhere to find the vinyl. Now ARAWA has an MP3 for download!

At least now I can feed the radio programme with this major spacey tune :)

‘Manureva’ was the Tahitian name of a ship that sank during a yacht racing in 1978. It inspired the musical genius Serge Gainsbourg to write the lyrics for a Disco track written and arranged by Alain Chamfort and Jean-Noël Chaléat.

On a side note, J-N. Chaléat is also responsible for the incredible V.I.P., already presented in these pages.

This is the cheesy soundtrack of the Italian dubbing of a Japanese anime series called Lupin III. I believe this Disco-ish song was especially created for the opening credits but, oddly enough, the song title has really nothing to do with the series theme actually.

Anyway, it was also concurrently released on 12” (and the cover art is boldly hideous).
