A tiny selection of sweet female voices in italo:
Helen - Witch (1983)
Clio - Eyes (1984)
Rose - Memories (1986)
Tyrants In Therapy - Too Tuff To Cry (1986)
Daydream - In The Night (1986)
EDIT: The b-day celebration is postponed some time later this year. I’m working hard fixing the remaining bugs in our radio application and overhauling the guest live set system. It gives you more time to vote in a way ;)
Yes, this blog is almost one year old. I can’t tell you right now when it is exactly - because I didn’t keep track of the date, but kundalini did, and will surely help me out with this. (edit: 1st post 25/11/07)
Anyway, in approximately a month from now we plan to broadcast a special show for this special occasion. Its actual content is not settled yet but we first thought about a night dedicated to the top 50 tracks you liked the most from this blog (maybe among other things yet to set up).
In order to prepare this song ranking we need your help. Please try to visit our “vault” and rate the posts with the songs you like - or hate (use the star thingy system located above each ticket). We have over 384 tickets classified under the highlight category to offer, and 25 selections. The songs with the best score and with the highest number of votes will be ranked accordingly for this one-time show.
All the details will be soon revealed to all…
Cheers.

The guitar riff sounds a bit like Change’s, doesn’t it? |
Rudy - Just Take My Body (1979)
This is another Paolo Gianolo’s tune, one of the three masterminds behind Change.

First released as the B-side of the conventional but well produced Lover’s Holiday, this little gem is really different from anything Change has ever done.
This one has been written by the regular guitarist of the band, Paolo Gianolio, alone, which means that the notorious Malavasi or Romani touch is nowhere to be found in this track. It also appears to be one of his first songs ever as a writer and the end result is frankly awesome: the main melody, carried by a kind of over-processed choir-like sound and supported by lots of syncopated bleeps and electronic soundscapes, is simply gorgeous (but never over-the-top, mind you.)
Change - The End (1980)
P. Gianolio became a regular writer for the band after this song and was then involved in most of Change “electronic”-only tracks.
The Other People Place - It’s Your Love
Autumn has hit the Dutch Banana Republic. Outside a storm rages. Inside I play Drexciya’s third storm: The Other People’s Place - Lifestyles Of The Laptop Café. Warm feelings float into my body by hearing these deep, moody sounds. My favorite album of all time. Â
More James Stinson(= Drexciya) related stuff:
Shifted Phases - The Cosmic Memoirs Of The Late Great Rupert J. Rosinthrope
Abstract Thought - Hypothetical Situations
James Stinson died on September 3rd 2002 due to heart failure. He was only 33 years old.
Michele - Disco Dance (Patrick Cowley Mega Mix)
Holy smoking discoballs!!! It’s Patrick Cowley on his sex fuelled organ blasting mighty tunes into Michele’s Disco Dance. Somewhere halfway the track it turns into hardcore psychedelic disco… Dance, dance, disco dance!

Thunderous piece of funky music, 100% made in Italy.
Maurice Mc Gee - Do I Do (1983)
Lead by the guy behind the catchy Mrs Moon and who is also known for his work on Mr Flagio’s Take A Chance. Great pedigree.
